a month agoThe worst fish I have had for a very long time. Bought a large fish, it looked massive but was 2/3rds batter. The fish in the middle was so thin, at times, it was almost non existent.

2 months agoFish cooked fresh and cooked perfectly. Good portions and gentleman was very chatty and polite . We will definitely be returning ❤️

3 months agoI visited this fish and chip shop about 15 mins ago and unfortunately had a really unpleasant experience. The food itself was average at best, but what really stood out was the way the manager treated one of the staff members. While I was waiting for my order, the manager started yelling at a young female employee who looked like she was still a teenager. It was loud enough for customers in the shop to hear, and it made the whole atmosphere very uncomfortable. No one should be spoken to like that, especially in front of customers. The employee seemed embarrassed and upset, and it honestly made me feel bad for her. Mistakes happen in any workplace, but there are much more respectful ways to handle them. Seeing a manager lose their temper like that really made the place feel unprofessional. Because of this, I won’t be returning. Good customer service includes how staff are treated behind the counter, not just how customers are served. I hope the management takes a moment to think about how their behaviour affects both employees and customers.

9 months agoI Had mini fish and chips on 12/9/25 it was that dry the batter fell of the fish and was that hard it was inedible, The chips were all little bits and dry, If I didn't know any difference I would of said it was cooked in the microwave ( obviously wasn't ) but possibly the night befores or left standing in the cabinet for a long time, Won't be returning if nothing else open i would rather go without.

10 months agoGreat fresh fish and chips..English owners so cooked like the Brits like 😊. Good size portions..the chicken was really yummy!😋

a year agoFor many years this has been our family’s most favoured F&C takeaway shop for an evening meal, the one I declare in public as the best in Hereford. We fully support top marks for quality of its products and the friendliness of its staff.

2 years agoThis is a nice little chip shop. The food was hot and plentiful. I had the fish chips, sausage, mushy peas and a couple of bread rolls. There was a large selection of cooked food when I was there it was very hot, but I don’t know how long it would last or if they were expecting a rush. The batter on the fish and sausages was crisp and the chips were well seasoned and fresh. Unfortunately the bread rolls were burger baps so sorry not to my taste. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall quite a nice chippy
