The worst fish I have had for a very long time. Bought a large fish, it looked massive but was 2/3rds batter. The fish in the middle was so thin, at times, it was almost non existent.
Fish cooked fresh and cooked perfectly. Good portions and gentleman was very chatty and polite . We will definitely be returning ❤️
I visited this fish and chip shop about 15 mins ago and unfortunately had a really unpleasant experience. The food itself was average at best, but what really stood out was the way the manager treated one of the staff members. While I was waiting for my order, the manager started yelling at a young female employee who looked like she was still a teenager. It was loud enough for customers in the shop to hear, and it made the whole atmosphere very uncomfortable. No one should be spoken to like that, especially in front of customers. The employee seemed embarrassed and upset, and it honestly made me feel bad for her. Mistakes happen in any workplace, but there are much more respectful ways to handle them. Seeing a manager lose their temper like that really made the place feel unprofessional. Because of this, I won’t be returning. Good customer service includes how staff are treated behind the counter, not just how customers are served. I hope the management takes a moment to think about how their behaviour affects both employees and customers.
